PDMS have been delivering successful software projects for well over 13 years to a diverse client base, both here on the Island and in the UK. Based in Castletown, PDMS has grown from just 2 people in 1993 to a skilled and experienced work force of over 40 people today. Our technical development teams are complimented by project managers, business analysts and graphic designers and we have a dedicated support & services team to ensure that our quality of service is continued once systems have gone live. To reflect PDMS commitment to quality, the company has implemented an ISO 9001 certified quality system and has recently been awarded the security standard ISO 27001 (formerly BS 17799). PDMS is one of the first companies on the Island to be certified to his new international security standard.

PDMS’ project portfolio is extremely varied ranging from web developments and large electronic catalogues to mobile solutions. We can provide a full end to end service covering all stages of the project process from initial consultancy and specification through to development, testing, deployment and support and maintenance. As well as software solutions development and implementation, PDMS, supported by Domiclium, also have the facilities to provide a fully managed service including hosting applications, providing all technical support, hardware, infrastructure and bandwidth to meet agreed service levels. Our technical teams are conversant with a wide range of technologies and we are both Microsoft Certified Partners and Oracle Partner Programme members.

Over the course of the last few years PDMS have developed particular expertise in browser based business systems. We have successfully delivered on-line systems for clients such as Black & Decker, the West Midlands Police Authority, the Police National Legal Database, the Isle of Man Government and the NHS to name but a few. A number of projects we have worked on have been nominated for several high profile industry awards including electronic catalogues developed for the NHS and the national ‘ask the police” web development (www.askthe.police.uk).

PDMS has plans for significant future growth and whilst retaining its headquarters on the Isle of Man, is actively seeking to expand and develop its business both in the USA and Europe.PDMS is one of the Isle of Man’s largest software companies and has found operating from the Isle of Man to be commercially beneficial. As the company has expanded it has been able to recruit high calibre new employees from the local labour market and has also been able to attract staff from further a field when required. The Isle of Man Government, through the DTI in particular, have always been supportive in helping the business to develop new markets for our services. Members of the PDMS management team are actively involved in the local business community supporting the Chamber of Commerce through membership of the IT Committee, participating in Government led consultative forums and we have involvement with the local branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Management Institute.
